Thurailingam Pavanakumar (Pavan) is the Conservative candidate for East Barnet ward.

Pavan has lived in Barnet for nearly 29 years, the last 19 in East Barnet itself. A qualified accountant and finance director with over 25 years’ senior experience, he has been a dedicated Conservative campaigner since 2011.

Pavan’s top three priorities for East Barnet

  1. Crime, anti-social behaviour and retail safety
  2. Traffic congestion, parking and road safety
  3. Stopping overdevelopment and protecting local character

What Pavan wants to achieve

Pavan will work with police and businesses to increase visible policing and CCTV, ease congestion on key roads and protect East Barnet’s suburban feel from inappropriate development. With his financial expertise he will fight for disciplined council spending and real value for money.
