Cory Turner is the Conservative candidate for Childs Hill ward.
A lifelong Barnet resident who grew up in Edgware, Cory has volunteered across the borough and seen first hand the impact of rising antisocial behaviour, drug dealing and Labour's mismanagement of local services. With six years experience working in cybersecurity, managing large budgets, overseeing stakeholders and holding organisations to account, Cory brings professional skills that will strengthen scrutiny and deliver real results for residents.
Cory’s top three priorities for Childs Hill
• Tackling crime, antisocial behaviour and drug dealing
• Addressing homelessness and bringing abandoned shops back into use
• Protecting green spaces and stopping inappropriate overdevelopment
What Cory wants to achieve
Cory will push for a targeted and strategic plan to reduce antisocial behaviour around key hotspots like Golders Green Crescent and Golders Green Road. He will fight for fairer funding, stronger police presence and long term action that does not simply shift crime elsewhere.
He will work with community groups and businesses to improve support for residents at risk of homelessness and ensure abandoned shops no longer blight the high street. Cory will also stand up against overdevelopment, ensuring residents are properly consulted, green spaces are protected and infrastructure is not overwhelmed.
