Why Register ?
If you do not register,you cannot vote.

POSTAL VOTING
- a postal vote can be sent to your home address or any other address that you provide
- postal votes can be sent abroad but you need to consider whether there will be enough time for you to receive and return your ballot paper by election day, you may wish to consider appointing a proxy
- you should receive your postal ballot paper about a week before election day
- once you have cast your vote on the ballot paper make sure it is sent back so that it arrives by close of poll on election day
- the deadline for new postal vote applications is 5pm, 11 working days before an election.
PROXY VOTING
What does proxy mean?
You can appoint someone to vote on your behalf. If you nevertheless attend the polling station, you will be able to vote unless your proxy has already voted.
- proxy voting enables you to vote from abroad on election day.
- if your proxy is unable to attend the polling station on election day you can apply for a postal proxy application. For further details please contact the Electoral Registration Office using the contact details on the right of this page
- the deadline for new postal proxy applications is 5pm, 11 working days before an election
- the deadline for new proxy applications is 5pm, 6 working days before an election.
Deadline to apply for a postal vote is on 21st April, 5:00 PM.
