James Esses is the Conservative candidate for High Barnet ward.

An Irish-Jewish psychotherapist living in Arkley with his wife and young family, James previously worked as a criminal barrister and senior civil servant leading on crime and justice policy across government.

James’s top three priorities for High Barnet

  1. Crime and community safety
  2. Local infrastructure and service provision
  3. Protecting the green belt and challenging overdevelopment

What James wants to achieve

James will fight car theft, anti-social behaviour and anti-Semitic incidents, push BT to deliver full-fibre broadband and oppose the huge station car park development that would ruin High Barnet’s character. He wants to fix potholes, clear fly-tipping and bring the community together.
